My Beliefs
I will warn you again – I make no apologies for what I believe. I do not expect you to believe as I do. Nor do I have a right to judge your decision – I believe that’s between you and God. I don’t always succeed at what I talk about here, but I am always striving to do and be better than I was yesterday. I am continually trying to grow into the person I am in Christ.
I am a Christian. I believe that Christ was a real person, that He was divine and human at the same time, that he was crucified, died, and was buried. I believe that on the third day, He rose from the dead and gave us all the opportunity for eternal life through Him and Him alone.
I believe that sin separates us from God, and that Christ’s death was payment for each of our sins, and it allows us to reunite with our Creator.
I believe that there are no great sins and no small sins – all sin has but one result – death.
I believe in absolute truth and that the source of that truth is the God of the Bible.
I believe that the Bible is directly and specifically inspired by God – and that it remains as truthful today as the day it was first written.
I believe we should be ready to share our faith whenever the opportunity is presented to us.
I believe that the Bible should be a blessing to others – not a weapon to beat people into believing what we believe.
I believe it is the Holy Spirit that “wins souls” not you or I – God may choose to use us, but the saving is done by Him and Him alone.
I believe that every Christian denomination has some things right and many things wrong, because denominations are created by humans, not by God – and we shouldn’t hold so firmly to dogma, that we push people away from Christ.
I believe that you can win every Spiritual argument, and still lose every soul.
I believe that the core of Christianity is Grace – We are saved by it, and we are expected to show it – to everyone.
Finally – I believe that we are to love each other and show kindness and love to anyone and everyone we can.
This page is a living document, I plan to update this as needed. I am happy to discuss these beliefs with you if you wish, my contact information is on the “about the author” page.
